This recipe came about from my love of chocolate and research.

This is my own personal experience, and mine alone!
I have had Endometrial pain for many years and diagnosed with it in 2011-2012 while having a surgery for a cyst removal on an ovary. Also having horrible cramping with my monthly cycles.
If you or anyone you know has Endometriosis, it can be very painful and debilitating at times, especially around a women’s cycle.
So after researching many foods (I believe in food being my medicine, when possible) And have lived by “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” for many years. I don’t wait to get sick, but do my best to prevent it. Among many Raw fruits and Green Smoothies to help me with my Endometriosis, I found Chocolate to be of utmost importance for pain management as well as lessening duration of cycles. I eat a lot of Raw Chocolate. (More recipes to come)
Chocolate in its Raw form is very healing and health benefiting. And Coconuts when they are young, are so nourishing, they are nature’s pure electrolytes and match the bloods plasma. Drink often if you’re able. (Do your own research)
As you’ll find in many raw recipes, people use cashews for most everything! Especially anything that needs to be creamy. Cashews are great and I use them often, but we are sadly missing out on more nutrients if we don’t try other foods. So I put this one together.
Before trying this recipe, please make sure these foods are safe for you.
I make this recipe and eat it every month… the entire thing usually 1 week before my monthly Cycle.
Meat from 2 Young Coconuts (make sure it’s white and NOT pink)
1/2 Cup Pure Maple Syrup
1/2 Cup Coconut Water
1/2 Tsp Sea Salt
1 Cup Raw Cacao Powder
1/4 Cup Coconut Oil
(Add Extra coconut water if too thick, add while blending, small amount just to get it to whip.
Place all ingredients in blender, blend and pour into a pan. Eat as a pudding. Or freeze for 30-45 minutes and slice. Keep in freezer and thaw a piece when you want to have one.
*pro tip… if you want to try a raw vegan cheesecake but without cashews, you can use young coconut meat, Cup for Cup!
